feeling frustrated, I try to grab hold of some sort of reality

but when I tried to push off,

the ground had already left my feet.

I am floating beyond the shrubs,

Getting entangled in branches,

trees cling to my evaporating form

as I continue to dissipate into the ether,

all because my attempt to merge with the clouds

and to be closer to the stars,

that so long ago caught my eye,

has managed to turn my life upside down

but really, it’s because I got too impatient
