2025 feels like we’ve flipped a coin over
the side of the Empire State Building,
trailing behind to monitor it’s rotations.
How many times will it flip?
Will it stop turning at some point,
obeying some other rule of gravity,
does it matter if it lands on face or tails?
Or is this fixation on the coin a way to
ignore the larger issue of the
approaching side walk or
unsuspecting passerby?
Why is no one then asking why
we are the ones falling and
how do we survive the
incoming impact from
obsessively choosing
sides without
recognizing the
foolish choice to
throw this coin
off the side of
the building
?
